Default Woman shoots husband for killing her chicken

CHESHIRE, Ore. - An Oregon woman was arraigned Tuesday, accused of shooting her husband after he shot her pet chicken.

The Eugene Register-Guard reported that Mary Kay Gray, 58, was jailed Monday on felony assault charges.

Her husband, Stanley Gray, is recovering from a gunshot wound to the shoulder. The chicken died at the scene.

Well GOSH...that is just funny. I'm glad she didn't end up shooting her husband dead over it. Kind of a shame to go to prison for revenging the death of a CHICKEN

Maybe the guy was just tired of hamburgers....
Maybe he had a secret job with Kentucky Fried Chicken..

"the chicken died at the scene"

I'd LOVE to see Dr. Phil try to hold THIS marriage together!

Bizarre.

I wonder though if the guy actually shot the chickens. If it was an accident, we now have proof that his wife is the better shooter :?

I guess a pet chicken isn't any worse than a pet rat or mouse. More of a pain maybe because of the noise.

I really don't see how a chicken can be a pet. seriously. how can they be toilet trained?!?

When we had our first set of chickens on the farm, our kids were little. they used to put a leash (a small rope) around the chicken's neck and walk around the yard with them like that. we have pictures of the girls doing that. it was hillarious! they did name a couple of them and were quite upset when those ones were no longer there. 8O

I'd take a pet chicken any day over a pet snake or a pet iguana

The chicken can roam around in the back yard if you have that ability where you live and you can get fresh eggs from them. Yum!

Ya but thats no longer a pet and is considered livestock as far as I'm concerned. A pet is something you can pet, cuddle, train, handle or something that soothes you. I don't think a chicken fits into any of these categories and if my wif had a pet chicken I'd likely get a pet fox to look after it for her.

What about a caracat? I know these are not native to Canada. But they will also take care of any sheep problem you may have
