Default Will Sex Killer Be Paroled?

CANOE -- CNEWS - Crime: Will sex killer be paroled?

---------------------

After reading this story, do you think he should be paroled? Is 'forgiveness' even a factor in this horrible crime?

Default Re: Will Sex Killer Be Paroled?

No, and I am big on giving people second chances. The premeditated nature of the murders makes it hard to believe that it will not happen again.

From the article:
[quote]She says the hardest part for Shearing is not knowing when freedom will come -- if ever."
And sometimes we have to accept that things cannot go our way, despite our wishes. In this case, because of the murders, and the motive, I'd say society may be better served when this wish does not come true.

It is easy to claim to have changed, and it is not hard to write eloquently. It is much harder, however, to live accordingly.

If it were an accidental murder (Cheney style), I'd not be opposed to parole, but in this case, I am not too convinced that it would be a good thing.
