"A supermarket kicked a veteran out of its store for selling the poppies. A store manager allegedly told the Legion official there was no longer room for his small table and chair.
What has happened to our society? When did we run out of space for a veteran, who is attempting to assist in a worthy cause such as the sale of poppies? When did insurance become more important than honouring our veterans? Poppy distributors are often seen standing the entire period of time they are posted. You may even spot some standing outdoors battling the bitter cold and wind of the autumn season."
