Not neccessarily. A lot of Presidents, both Republican and Democratic have done things during their presidency that were far from Constitutional. Including a lot of icons of both parties, in times long gone. I think something like that happens in most "democratic" countries, though.
I remember the Republicans building a case against Clinton, which was highly amusing, when Congressman after Congressman was forced to resign a number of positions because of extramarital affairs.
Even if Clinton's behavior were unconstitutional, it should have been the same patriotic
Republicans that would have questioned the policies and actions undertaken by the current President. And start preliminary impeachment procedures.
As an added bonus, a lot of people who see the whole US as a bi-party state would have a serious argument to debunk if that were to happen.

We are getting close to elections....anything you read now is probably a lie regarding ANY candidate.

A year and a half for the next Presidential elections. If that is close, than the whole impeachment thingies should be crossed out of the US Constitution - because it is always close to elections. With elections every two year, and every 4 years for Presidency.
BTW, why are you not allowed to commit perjury, but are newspapers allowed to do the same thing?

It's too bad other countries read all that dribble and have no way of knowing how untrue most of it really is.

Sadly, the same applies to US citizens and the situation in the world. Including for instance the controversy surrounding Iran - but this may well serve for the US to declare war on Iran. If that happens, this false knowledge has serious consequences, both in the Middle East as in the US itself.
I don't think the procedure will get them anywhere though. We will see what happens, but as I stated in another thread, I expect a war to break out this year with Iran.
