Show and Tell Trouble
from Pulse24 Toronto's 24 Hour Newsource:
Most five-year-olds bring in their favourite toy, grandpa's coin collection, or a memento from summer vacation for show and tell, but a little girl in Augusta, Georgia apparently went digging through Mommy's drawer to find an item to show the class.
Police say the kid brought two baggies of marijuana to school to display for her classmates.
Narcotics officers were called to the school and later to the girl's home, where her mother, Kendra Natasha Sanders, was arrested after another ounce of weed was allegedly found in the house.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I guess parents should really pay attention to what their kids bring to school

I hope it was in Canada. I don't see a reason why this mom should be locked up for 20 years.

I wonder why the kid even knew where the pot bags were? Better than if she had tried to smoke it and overdosed herself and her little friends.
I doubt she'll get 20 years....but I'm sure she'll get something.

I wonder what would give the higher sentence: if the kid brought this to school, or a pistol. Place your bets.

It would depend on if the pistol was legally registered and if it was loaded or bullets easily accessible. This is in Augusta,Georgia....they don't mind guns.....but they don't like hippies.

Any idea of the sentences? Or, in the case the kid itself managed to load the gun / pistol, would that kid be held responsible as well?

it depends on if the mother has prior arrests, if not, she probably wont get more then 90 days, but she might lose the child at least temporarily, so hopefully she has family and the kid isnt stuck in foster care.

i've known people like that. this one family we knew, their mom never smoked it but her husband used to smoke it and sell it. people used to be in that house all the time sitting at thier kitchen table smoking this crap while their little boys are running around or sitting on their dad's lap. sickening!
These boys grew up to be delinquents and sell this crap themselves now (last i heard).
There are so many parents like that it's not even funny. it's sick.
I doubt she'll get a lot of time. her kids will either be in foster care or with family members. she's an idiot mom IMO.
