They are taking donations (cash, water, food and household items) on the base, schools and various other locations. It's a shame we can't get anything to those people until the road are cleared.
Baby stuff is the nicest thing though. Can you imagine having to figure out how to take care of Ally in all that mess? I have no idea what those moms must be going thru with hungry kids and no water. GEEZ!
Thanks for the links Stone...I'll make sure they get posted on other sites....plus send them around on email.

This is why I have chosen to breastfeed untill Hurricane Season is over, as long as I have water I can produce milk... it's so scarry thinking of how your children will survive. I still may go purchase a shack in TN so we have an escape area

Jesse Jackson is a con artist. He's ripped more black people off than the slave traders.

Profile of Hugo Chavez. I picked bbc so it wouldn't sound like US propaganda against him. He's a communist and a menace to society. I agreed with Robertson....until I found out he meant only 'take him out' of office. The 'assassination' thought was much better.

Hi Weiser!
Hugo Chavez is a bit more complex than the BBC makes out. If Duke will allow me to post a link to Chavez, Robertson and Hurrican Katrina (it's very long to post here), you can read a bit more about him.
I like politics and finding out what's going on in the world so took a trip round a few internet sites the other night to have a look see. The article is referenced with links to all of the points mentioned, so you can go and check it out for yourself. (And there are plenty from the BBC that show what Chavez is up to. ) I knew Merika would like this topic

Aww Matthew............
Jan 2005: The Venezuelans have suspected publicy since Jnauary that the US intends to invade their country, looking to secure the 350 year oil reserves supposedly hidden in the jungle somewhere or under the caribbean sands.
That's the FIRST I've ever heard of that and I'm an active leader in the GOP/Republican party. I've never heard it in the news....I've never heard it anywhere before. I'm going to pass it around this afternoon. I wish I were in charge.... Venezuela would be a piece of cake to take. We can launch from Puerto Rico...which cost us more in hand outs than it's been worth anyway.
MM is a snazzy liberal...I'm a crusty old conservative...but I enjoy his posts more than anything!

I think they're all corrupt, liberals and all, US, British, Canadian, Venezuelan, it doesn't matter!! I think the first thing that they don't care about are the people they are supposed to serve. I would say more anarchist humanist than snazzy liberal but that could be discussed

I don't even believe in evolution (as it's being presented) and I still believe that some societies aren't destined to survive. They play themselves out....like the Roman Empire and such. Who knows...maybe the American Empire is next...but at least we are going down with a fight. LOL~!
