Default Fines For Low Riding Pants

Fayebelle sent me this in email. I thought it was a timely article. I'm not sure why they are trying to make it a Democratic/Republican or Black/White issue. I think people of all parties and color are tired of looking at BUTTS all over the pace. LOL!

Va. Bill Sets Fine for Low-Riding Pants

Wed Feb 9, 7:05 AM ET

RICHMOND, Va. - Virginians who wear their pants so low their underwear shows may want to think about investing in a stronger belt.

The state's House of Delegates passed a bill Tuesday authorizing a $50 fine for anyone who displays his or her underpants in a "lewd or indecent manner."

Del. Lionell Spruill Sr., a Democrat who opposed the bill, had pleaded with his colleagues to remember their own youthful fashion follies.

During an extended monologue Monday, he talked about how they dressed or wore their hair in their teens. On Tuesday, he said the measure was an unconstitutional attack on young blacks that would force parents to take off work to accompany their children to court just for making a fashion statement.

"This is a foolish bill, Mr. Speaker, because it will hurt so many," Spruill said before the measure was approved 60-34. It now goes to the state Senate.

The bill's sponsor, Del. Algie T. Howell, has said constituents were offended by the exposed underwear. He did not speak on the floor Tuesday.

Spruill and Howell, also a Democrat, are both black.

I for one am really tired to have to look at people's butts or underwear. You can't help but notice it! That's great that they're finally fining people for it. time for these girls to cover up a little. why are they turning this into a black/white issue?!? don't they realize that all races are showing their bottoms?

I'm tired of SOME butts, not ALL BUTTS. In fact there are some people with butts that I definitly think of which more should be shown for the good of all mankind.

Working in the shipyard...I saw more far A$$ed cracks than a person should have to see in their lifetime. I figure they are just working though and wearing the most comfortable pants. I tried not to look at the UGLY ones....and broke my neck trying to stare at the FINE ones.

Regarding the topic........I live in a beach area where lots of people take advantage of the unzipped pants hanging down thing. There's a time and a place and quite frankly.....my GROCERY STORE is neither.

I've frankly been more impressed than appalled by low-cut-coochie cuters. I find the pierced and bejeweled naval and tatooed upper buttock purposefully decorated with cat eyes to get my attention, very appealing, particularly when the extent of the low slung beltline seems to defy gravity's pull on the pants.

But outside the nighttime confines of the poolhall, and among girls in school or the workplace, I can see that this distraction might hinder discipline and degrade productivity.

I view the guy's fashion trend of wearing their pants below the hipline, exposing thier boxer underwear as usually humorously impractical as they often walk about clutching their crotch in an attempt to hold up their pants:

Consequently, they are more often than not poster children for planning to take a leak before you leave the house.

I've also seen the results of NOT holding up their pants, and trying to run to catch a bus: Tumbling to the ground with your pants around your ankles is possably one of the least sexually appealing things a guy might do.

I've watched Sn00py and his 12-14 year old buddies walk down the road trying to hold up their pants while walking their respective dogs...it's just hilarious.

Like I mentioned though....it sure makes it easy when I have to purchase a pair since the waist size is irrelevant.

It is a trend and those kids will look back and laugh. When I was around that age for girls Body suits we're popular. Those things we're so uncomfortable, and horrid looking plus they gave a permiwedge so girls walked around picking there back side AND there front all the time!! LMAO
