Man fined for hurling Egg McMuffin at McDonald's worker

HOLLAND (AP) - A Zeeland man has been convicted of assault and battery for throwing a breakfast sandwich at a McDonald's restaurant manager.

Authorities say Scott Rodgers and his young son stopped one day in October to get four Egg McMuffins in a Holland McDonald's.

He returned to the service window to complain when he realized at least one of the sandwiches had sausage instead of ham. He threw it at the shift manager when she asked him to give it back.

Rogers has been fined $600 dollars and put on probation. He's also banned from entering the McDonald's restaurant.

:? Ok sorry to play the devils advicote, yes this guy is a dumb arse, but 6 months probation for attempting to start a food fight is a little much don't you think?

I've thrown a drink in someones face before, should I have gotten probation?

Ever wing one of those little sandwitches, it's a bullet covered in greasy yellow paper. I'm not too sure about the probation thing, that seems a little off.

I've actually been so mad at a fast food resturaunt...I can totally undertstand why he did it! I can over look stupidity....but sometimes...they are just RUDE!

I don't think you chuck food in a restaurant, department stoor or anywhere no matter how mad you get. I'm not even sure how that will resolve anything.

It wouldn't. It would only make ME feel better...until they hauled me off to jail....which is why I've never done it!
