Rock star sued by ex-girlfriend

Motley Crue guitarist Mick Mars is being sued by his ex-girlfriend for $10 million (ÃƒÂƒÃ¢Â€ÂšÃƒÂ‚Ã‚Â£5.4 million), claiming he broke a promise to take care of her.

The woman, Robin Mantooth, said Mars promised her repeatedly that he would provide financial support in the event of the couple breaking up.

When they split in December, Mantooth says Mars denied any such agreement.

She is asking a Los Angeles court to award her half the musician's property, a monthly allowance and damages.

Mantooth added that the pair became lovers in 1990, after which she abandoned her career as a documentary film-maker to move in with the guitarist at his Malibu home.

I wonder if they lived together. because if they did, she stands a very good chance with being common law. Living common law these days, is just as being married. After living with someone for 3 years, you'e entitled to 1/2 of everything and then some if you fight for it.

I collect widows benifits every month for the rest of my life for krystal's biological father dying. i wasn't married to him, i was common law.

In the states it's 7 years but in florida common law doesn't exist thank god

Personally, I hope she wins. That will teach him !!

On the other hand, should she win, I think there would be a really stinky message the law would pass... like "he's intittled to feed you up" and diminishe her responsability as a mature woman to take care of herself, of her future. All alone.

she's been with him since 1990. that's 15 years of her life that she gave to him. I don't think she should receive what she's asking but she should get something at least. Only if she was living with him of course. If they lived in different places then no. she shouldn't get a dime.

Why is it always noted as giving 15 years of her life to him? He had to spend 15 years in the relationship as well you know. Maybe she should be entitled to something but half is utter nonsense.

BTW, if she's naive enough to believe that he would take care of her in the event that they did split then she deserved to be dumped because that's just plain stupid.

I agree. they both gave 15 years. if she was the one who was rich, i'd say he deserved something also. i also don't think she should get what she's asking for. that's just being greedy.

OK She should have seen that Red Flag comming if she spent 15 dammed years with him without some type of engagement or marriage she should have left his arse!! That's an awful long time and I will change my awanser after 15 years she IS intitled to something, but she was the fool for staying that long.

yes i agree with that. staying 15 years with a guy that doesn't propose or marry you is rediculous. after the first 5 or 6 she should've clued in that things weren't going any further. maybe she stayed only because he's rich? there are a lot of people out there that will stay in a relationship for money reasons only. Money or no money, I wouldn't of stayed that long without a commitment made.
