I've finally figured out the directory structure of one of the racing games I play called rFactor. Current vehicle projects are as follows (these are all W.I.P. and may not represent the final product):
Lifesupporters.com Skins: Click on images to enlarge CashPirate Skins: Click on images to enlarge OK, now that I have that figured out, I'm going to complete the skin for Lifesupporters.com (around 4 - 6 hours remaining). Once that skin is done, I want to begin skinning vehicles for the rest of the network in this order: - Cash Pirates and Fragtard (at the same time). - E-Z Theme - Game Movie Making International-Cafe will be added once the site is re-configured. What I need from all of you is ideas on how to skin these other vehicles including, but not limited to the following: - color schemes - images - fonts and anything else you can think of. I'll be releasing a short video on the new lifesupporters.com car very soon and hope to release another video sometime mid-fall with all the network cars in it. I know you all think I have enough work on my plate but this is something I'm doing for fun so I'd kinda like to have it done asap. Merika, can you tell cc and parrothead to get their @sses over here and add some input? Thanks, Ken |

I'm assuming you'd like to see it match the site theme somewhat, is that correct? |

Yep, pretty much, doesn't have to be FPS based. The nice thing about an FT car is you can really mix it up if you want, put in a racing theme or flight sim, or just use the basic color scheme and throw in some BF decals/soldiers, whatever.

Well CC, I think your going to be happier than a pig in sh1t then because I went ahead and started skinning the car a few days ago.
Please keep in mind the car is not complete but I do have a good head start (click on images to enlarge): As for an animated sig (such as the old lifesupporters.com car), I can't guarantee a 360 degree animated signature. It not only takes a lot of time to create one but also, Colin McRae (the game that car is from) has an ingame menu with the car animation whereas rFactors is completely different. I will be looking at ways to edit my game files enough to allow for this type of capture but I'm not promising anything because I have to edit core game files to actually obtain the footage. In other words, I'll do what I can. BTW, Fragtards and GMM are on deck. |

BTW, does anyone think I should just make this a public topic? The only reason it wasn't was due to my uncertainty about whether or not to keep the photo gallery but since it looks like we'll continue using it, this is no loger a staff level only discussion.

Dayum, I now have to get my @ss in gear and move forward on these vehicles.
BTW, for anyone who's interested, I've discovered Porsche Racing ;-) |
