I just e-mailed duke about this. i thought i was seeing things too but i'm not. we've lost a lot of posts and topics in forums. what the heck happened???

i thought we had 89 members. we only have 87 which means that 2 are lost now.

Oh, I see where you're looking. That's not actually a member, it's the admin we used to setup the database. If you look at the bottom of the forum, as seen in the picture, we actually only have 87 members. :wink:

Unfricking believable, these guys are royally pissing me off. We lost two members in this latest Canaca braindead issue, not to mention I lost over 50 posts myself.

How the hell can a webhost be this stupid?

I know man, I hate to say it but it's probably a good idea to start looking for another host or at least threaten it to Canaca. THIS IS INSANE.

Thanks for explaing that Paul, I never even noticed the original post due to my rage yesterday. I really feel bad about the way things are running here and am now being more pro-active in my search for a replacement. The problem here is that a replacement doesn't necessarily mean a competant replacement. I'm actually looking for reviews of these hosting companies so I don't fall into the same trap.

That being said, we also have 4 databases that need to be moved in tact which isn't a matter of dragging and dropping I'm afraid. When I do decide to switch servers it will be on a weekend that I don't have my daughter and all of you will be warned via e-mail that the site will be down for stress testing for one full day. Anyone interested in being involved in the move will need Teamspeak as I'll be online there well the move is happening.
