This site has come a long way since then, hasn't it? When you made that initial statement, did you know you would come this far, Duke?

I'm having fun looking up and answering as many unanswered posts as I can... ...and it's fun going to the beginning when Duke was just starting out on LS

To be perfectly honest, I wasn't sure what the future would bring for this site. I'm quite happily suprised at where we now find ourselves and look forward to an even stronger future.
It's funny but back then, I wan't sure what I was really going to do with this site and it's future was uncertain. Things have surely changed and now I'm very clear on what the future holds for this site, and the Network for that matter. I hope to keep these sites online even after I'm gone so hopefully Dwoing, her kids, grandkids like computers because they'll be the ones looking after it when I'm gone.
I can't imagine this place in 10 years, 5 years or even 2 for that matter. Whatever happens, it's bound to be an interesting ride.

I thought we were a .NET.....when did we go back to a .COM?
Either way...yes...I'm all giddy and happy for ya D00K! I remember when you, Paul, and I spent a whole bunch of evenings just posting with each other because we had so few posting members.

Merika, this thread was created when the site was still a .com . More than 1.5 years ago, I think.

I'm sure I posted it somewhere but where I'm not sure.
Whenever I purchase a domain name, I only purchase it when it's available in .net and .com. You may notice that you can access every network site (except Hobby-Universe and Fragtard) from both .net and .com.
.com was pointing to the new install of this site that never worked out due to another crappy webhost. I then used it as a gateway page but dropped the webhost recently which is why it's pointing back here, where it belongs.

Someday you'll be able to access Fragtard from both .net and .com, it's just that I can't afford to point the .com at it right now.
