site problems

The site was down for almost 5 hours today and it looks like all posts within the last week are gone.

I started trying to get into this site at 6:45 am EST and gave up by noon. Tried again now and got in fine but DA, you're right. All posts and topics that were posted recently are gone!!

Why would posts and topics disapear from only having the server down? Makes no sense.

it came up around 4:30pm est.

They must have reloaded the site off of a backup version, hopefully duke has a more recent backup. Cause members like apok dont exist.

I just checked the members list and apok isn't there. It took me awhile to get to the member list pages and to this one also. I got a page not found and had to retry. it's slow.

This isn't good.

All the posts since last week Saturday are gone. Probably this is a backup from that time. Maybe the provider (for the server) has accidentally messed up, or professionally messed up.

Either way, I hope Duke has a more recent back up available. If he does, and would put it on, posting now is kinda useless, as our posts would be overwritten.

the start page to this site is all messed up as well. it's for administration use. the whole first page is missing as well with all the news.

I don't know if it's just me or not but for the past few days, I've been losing posts, getting error pages, lagging and getting page cannot be found pages.

anybody else been having problems like this?

This is a new server so I don't think we need to worry too much, that being said I'll be performind database backups on all sites this weekend.

I'll pass on the messages to Canaca and see what they have to say.
