This is pretty annoying actually, Canaca doesn't seem to think there's a problem but clearly one exists.

sounds like they finally found the problem and did something about it. The site was running okay today. i didn't have any problems getting in when i did check in throughout the day.

I didn't have any probs today either.

Did the traffic die down last week due to the problem?

Traffic remained pretty much the same actually so it didn't really affect that too much. I guess I get concerned because visitors will only trie so long to read your content before moving on and never coming back again. It's also hard to attract new members if your pages are slow to load.

Ya it just happened and was slower than slow. I actually shut down IE and re-loaded the site just to make sure it wasn't me.

Mine gets hung up trying to submit a post sometimes. Could be because someone else is trying to submit on the thread at the same time though.

The site also hangs up for me as well sometimes when submitting a new post. I wonder if it's more of a traffic issue on the db server than anything else because the rest of the speed seems ok. Adding news articles sometimes hangs up as well too which is why I believe it's a db server issue sometimes.
