That's an opinion shared by MANY voters in this particular election. It's more prone to happen if you vote for the man running....rather than the PLATFORM he represents. I disagree with this type of voting. This type of voting comes from a person who isn't aware of the fact that ONE MAN does not make that much of a difference.
Canada is somewhat different in it's setup.....but there is always a party or platform which most represents your personal VISION of where your country needs to go. It's not important anyone's vision lines up with mine....what IS important is that BEFORE they vote.....they know the over all viewpoint of the party of which they are voting for.
You can be for one issue they are representing...yet loathe the other TEN. So, a decision has to be made if this is the right party which OVER ALL represents your values and ideals. This can be a tough decision.
Such as in America...it's not who's President which interests me....I care about the 3 Supreme Court judges he may be able to appoint who's terms are coming up. To me.....this is a big deal. Therefore, I stick with my PARTY....not neccessarily the man who is running.
I am NOT making a political statement. I am only suggesting that before a vote....someone search out the entire PLATFORM and PARTY......not pick a man based on the color of his tie.
I hope that makes sense and that it helped someone in voting.

My mom voted for Vanderzalm because she liked his smile. Didn't much matter that he was a crook.

Yeppers....proving my point! LOL! I wonder about the female vote sometimes......maybe we should go back to the 1800's when they didn't have one!
OKAY...JUST KIDDING! Females in this day and age are very aware of politics and issues which affect their lives. I'm glad they are voting.

or just go to Australia. I'm not sure if women are allowed to vote there yet but I could be wrong.

They haven't always been able to vote Merika. If they can vote it's only happened over the last 20 years or so I believe.

http://www.abc.net.au/ola/citizen/wo...-home-vote.htm
In 1894 South Australian Women were granted the right to vote followed by Western Australia in 1899, NSW in 1902 and finally Victoria in 1908. Australian women (except Aboriginal women) were enfranchised for the new Commonwealth Parliament in 1901. Women first voted in second Federal election in 1903. However, women were not eligible for election to the State parliaments until the end of the First World War.
We were both right.
Even though I'm thinking it took so long for the Aboriginal ladies because they had to make stools for them to stand on! LOL!

Ya I use Google as my default search engine. In fact, thats why theres a google block on the left margin so people can make Lifesupporters their home page and also use it as a search engine ;-)
