I delete my cache every time I close my browser.

I don't see anything wrong with your posts in the chatbox.

Try hitting Ctrl F5 and see if that fixes your issues.

Adjusted Chat Idle time from 5 minutes to 15 minutes.

The idle option is for conserving bandwidth and system resources so the chat isn't continually refreshing if a user is online but idle in chat. To become active again, simply click the button in the chat window.

I've added a poll in regards to chatbox location. A few of you have expressed interest in relocating the chatbox to the top of the forum which is what this poll is to cover.

My only concern in relocating the chatbox is that it may ultimately hurt forum content due to discussions being held within the chatbox itself. The chat is meant to compliment membership here and allow everyone a vehicle to get to know each other and discuss things in real time however, the forums is the only place where information can cataloged and found by visitors to the site.

I'd be remiss if I didn't add that the chatbox can also be opened in another window or tab should you choose to keep it open on it's own.

I don't want it at the top. I would just like for someway to know when someone has posted to it. I know you are working on it so don't mean to nag. Please don't take it as so. (Of course, I am a woman and it is my nature, or so I have been told!!!)

You're not the only person who has mentioned it and to be honest, I've considered it but there are pitfalls to adding the chat to the top such as:

• possibility of reduced forum content due to chatroom discussions
• increased scrolling within the forums

I know from my own standpoint, I'd likely find a way to disable chat in my own profile because increased scrolling usually translates to increased discomfort in my wrist. I spend a lot of time online, much of which is behind the scenes so I like to keep things as compact, neat and aesthetically appealing as possible.

This is still very much a new chat system and will likely continue to change over the course of time. The creator is very active within the community I downloaded it from and he currently has another version with a few other available goodies. I will likely dl and install the latest version once I'm sure it's safe and stable (I never dl/install anything new) because I don't want to compromise this sites integrity in the process.

Anyway, this question has been brought up by others as well tk, I'm just dealing with it in a more feedback friendly environment.
