I've applied to
Parenthood.com in hopes of being added to their links page.
The following is my long winded letter:
Dear sir or madam,
I run a small family website called Lifesupporters.com. It's a website where I post family oriented news topics on the main page and also offer a web forum for members and guests to communicate. I had a bit of a rotten childhood due to a substance abusing father and a timid mother. My memories are of stocking the fridge with beer, opening beer, taking away the empties, and stacking cases upon cases in the shed. I felt that there may be others who have had similar experiences or are currently living in an unhealthy environment and need to reach out to others. The forum is also a place meant to bring all family members closer together through better understanding of each other. No where on the web (that I've seen) is there a site where child and teen can read what mom and dad have to say, and vice versa.
The site is new but it has a great purpose and aim in my opinion. I was recently recognized as a Family Friendly Site
http://www.familyfriendlysites.com/F...ly/default.asp and have been recognized and listed in several directories such as WoW, AbiLogic, All the Biz and Gimpsy. I was actually approached by AbiLogic, WoW and All the Biz to list and even had my own category created to fit my sites content. I can provide links if requested.
Lifesupporters.com caters to all of us and gives us an open forum to discuss what has and is happening in our lives, good or bad. Nobody at Lifesupporters.com is an expert, just a sympathetic ear that can offer consolation and maybe some loose advice to help the troubled mind.
The site is new but has received increased traffic over the 3 months it's been online. I invite you to browse the site and give me your comments (positive or negative).
I'm interested in being listed in your links page here:
http://parenthood.com/links_display.html?cat=2. In exchange, I'll put a small banner of your site with a target=_blank link to yoursite on my main page:
http://www.lifesupporters.com/. Upon acceptance into your link page I'll also add the same banner with your sites description in my new "Web Links Page" here:
http://www.lifesupporters.com/module...viewlink&cid=3
I sincerely apologize for the long winded message.
Thank you for taking the time to read.
Respectfully,
Ken Lindberg (aka Duke)
Lifesupporters.com founder:
