Default How did you find LS?

Heather and Twinkle hogtied me and dumped me across the threshold never to be released again. LOL

Who can we blame for your arrival?

Heather! She heard me complaining on loveshack about the coolest members taking off - including Arabess at that time.

So... it's HER fault!

I came here because I made the site and needed someone to visit it when it was new. I started talking to myself in the forums and then people started joining. Now I talk to myself but there's witnesses.

Duke's button (the LifeSupporters button) was being shown on a gamecommunity website... and since d00kie is such a nice guy, I decided to join.

I got an email from Duke....and honestly....I thought he was pulling one of his jokes. LOL!

I loved the site and joined. I also wanted all my friends to join and MOST HAVE.....some post more often than others though..... Three actually have admitted to me they read the posts...but don't join in. What's with THAT??????

I think the vision of all age groups posting so we can bridge the gaps.... will eventually come into fruition. I know when my kids have been the most upset with me.....they will post on here and in a short time.....we are all laughing together again.

Also....there have been a few occasions when the adults posting on here have made a major impact on a decision one of my kids have made. Star's story with Erika was a MAJOR one for my daughter to read and follow. She learned a whole lot. Whereas, Sn00py closely read everything SH wrote during his problem with the law and FOLLOWED her advice.

I don't think we realize that kids of today look at the puter or a forum in a different light than those of us who didn't grow up in the computer world do. They accept it as any other conversation and as a means of guidance.

I appreciate all our members and feel honored to call you friends.

Very well said Merika. My daughter has some of her teachers checking out the site as well as some of her friends. We will continue to grow and will always be here if someone needs something, even if it's a silent shoulder to cry on.

I started at a different forum to post about my troubled teen about 2 years ago and kept going there but never felt a connection like I do here. I love this place because it's more relaxed. We can be ourselves. We know when to be serious and when to joke around. It's a wonderful combination and I plan on staying here for many more years to come.

Merika, I'm so happy that my stories about Krystal and our situation in whole has had a good impact on your daughter. That's awesome! It makes me so happy that someone can be helped by reading about things.

Even if most members don't post, that's ok. You know they're reading and that's what's really inportant. They are getting what they need. Could be a chear up, an answer to their own problem or just the knowledge that they are not alone in whatever situation they're facing.

It's a lot like a group meeting type thing. You start going and you watch and listen then eventually, you start talking. I'm sure they will post when they're ready to post in the future. In the meantime, I'm just thrilled that they are reading.

I LOVE this place!

I'm just glad to have you all here. We have quite a diverse populace for such a small site and I believe we have some of the best topics on the net.
