Going Live (FEEDBACK)

All bug reports having to do with the new site at http://www.lifesupporters.com are to be discussed here.

On Thursday May 18, 2007, the old look of lifesupporters.com will disappear from public view forever. The url http://www.lifesupporters.com will be temporarily re-directed to the test site (http://www.lifesupporters.com/joomla) and may remain like this until such time as the new site is published and functioning correctly.

As a precaution, I will be wiping the webserver clean with the exception of subdomains (International-Gathering, CashPirates) this forum, the test site and an archived version of our old site. I'm not sure if this step is a necessity but I don't want to risk overlapping file structure and possibly risk security vulnerabilities as a result of this major change.

I'm not anticipating too many obvious problems other than some missing images and possible template corruption so the site should not be offline at all during this transitional period. I do ask however that you bookmark the following url's in the unlikely event that there is a problem:

In the unlikely event that I really screw something up, one of the above url's will have the reason why and any updated relevant information as to site status.

Known Issues:

- Stats not synced correctly.
- Stats Page stretches beyond right border in Firefox only (IE unaffected).
- Ajax Newsflash works only as http://www.lifesupporters.com/joomla but not as http://www.joomla.lifesupporters.com
- Ajax Newsflash affects text formatting upon refresh in Firefox only (IE unaffected).
- Web Links/Add Entry, stretches adsense beyond right border.
- Background fade image does not transition to white cleanly.
- Background fade image is not large enough and will panel if page is stretched too far.
- Header Banner Rotation not functional at this time.
- Header Banner does not re-direct at this time.
- RSS Feed System needs replacement. Fixed
- News Feeds not setup at this time. Fixed
- Forum Header Nav. does not have "Home" url. Fixed
- Forum Header does not match main site. Ongoing

We're officially live BETA at the joomla test site so if you want to go there, all you have to do is click on the banner at the top of the forums. I'll also be adding a "Home" link just below the forum header to make it a tad more obvious.
