EXTREMELY IMPORTANT POSTING INFORMATION

As you may know, this site sometimes experiences server errors or other problems that may mean the page you thought you were opening turns out to be an error page. This is normal when a site is new and may take some time to completely work all the bugs out.

Whatever you do, don't panic. Do not for any reason hit the Back button or Back Arrow (browser dependant) especially if you're posting a message or Private Message. All information you have typed WILL be lost. The BEST thing to do is hit the Refresh button. Should you get an error message saying "this page cannot be refreshed", simply hit Retry and the message you were sending will go through.

Also, it's never a bad idea to copy and paste your work into MS Word, Wordpad, or Notepad while typing a larger message. Not only will this insure that your work is not lost it will also help check spelling and content.

I member at several websites and pages not loading for various reasons is very common. Copying your work to an external source is always a great idea.

Copy and Pasting shortcuts:

- Open external document programs such as MS Word, Wordpad, etc.
- Highlight any part of your message at Lifesupporters.com by scrolling over it while holding down the left mouse button.
- Press "Ctrl A" keys simultaneously on your keyboard (this will highlight the entire article). Ctrl A stands for All.
- Press "Ctrl C" keys simultaneously on your keyboard (this will Copy the entire article to your clipboard). Ctrl C stands for Copy.
- Go to external document program, ensure you have a cursor on your new blank document page and press "Ctrl V" (this will Paste the entire article in your document program). Ctrl V stands for Paste. Remember that Paste is V not P. Pressing Ctrl P will open up a print prompt. :wink:

I just automatically highlight and copy my posts right before I hit send. If it goes through...fine. If it doesn't I just paste it in the next reply box I pull up.

This isn't true on only this forum. Losing posts can happen on any forum.

It always happens regardless of website. This one is just a bit more guilty than the rest due to a server/software error at my webhosts location.

I don't have this happen much any more. It sure is nice!!! I guess the Forum Fairy fixed it.
