Definition of Icons on the various pages

What do all the different envelope icons mean? Is there an informational page somewhere that defines them? Some have arrows, some are different colors, some have what looks like a page sticking out of it, etc. I noticed it under "New Posts" especially because that is what I hit the most when I get here but they are in the forums as well. Just wondered what they all meant. Sorry if this is a stupid question.

If you hover the mouse over it you get the explanation. Eg. this thread is hot, or something similar.

I haven't finished with the thread icons either but hope to have them completed in the next week or two.

I really need to complete this theme as it's the one all our visitors see and its inconsistency is driving me bananas. Once this theme is complete, I'll start work on the alternative themes.

Hovering doesn't make a difference. It doesn't tell me what they mean. I guess this is something that still needs to be addressed Duke? Is that what your last post here meant?

It's not an issue that needs to be addressed, it's because your browser does not allow for "alt" or "tilte" image description popups.

Try using Mozilla Firefox instead of IE and you'll see what Vautrin is referring to.

I do use Mozilla Firefox. Do I have to press the Alt key when I hover?

Then it's a problem at your end as mousing over an image works fine for me. Maybe try hovering over a few different images within the forum as not all images will be configured with "alt" and "title" attributes.

Have you updated Firefox recently?

I think it updated on its own a couple of days ago. It isn't a big deal. I was just curious what all the different types of envelopes meant. I'll live.
