Checking Your PM's

Just for your information:

Please make sure and check your PM's/Mailbox when you log on. I noticed I had sent a couple which are still in the 'send' box to people who have logged on lately. No BIGGIE.....I forget sometimes too! I just didn't want someone to think I didn't answer them.

I did get an email from someone who hasn't posted here in awhile saying I never answered their PM....when, in fact, I did....they just didn't check it. Ithink they were waiting for a pop up and didn't realize it's right on the front page!!!

I chose to leave a shadow topic behind just so the poster won't think their post has dissappeared.

If the threads not moving, it's because your not assigning it a new destination to move too.

I know how to do it. I just didn't know why it stayed in both places. It was a technical question. Generally when you move something....it's moved....it's not in BOTH places. HAHA!

The old topic remains where it used to if you have keep shadow topic checked in the move topic options. If you don't want a shadow topic then uncheck the box.

I recommend you keep shadow topics enabled though because people may think their topic got moved or deleted and usually heated posting ensues. I'm sure you recall this from a forum or two ;-)

Oh ya, I lost more posts that I kept, fortunately my post count never lowered so I don't think they deleted anything. That's why I always knew that Pee Wee was talking out his rear and so was Paul (other Paul) when they played innocent.

Paul (other Paul) never posted on his own forum. I think HE WAS Pee Wee. That might look like a cool executive move....but my feeling is this.....I've been involved in a handful of forums. When the Administrator doesn't give a damn...NO ONE gives a damn. You gotta work hard at making a forum go! If you aren't willing nor have the time to work hard at it.....it's a waste of time!
