Go to the link above for the true story. Most of it is true. The baby was operated on in-utero but the photographer exaggerated what really happened and he even has a disclaimer on his website stating that the story is his opinion of the events that took place during the surgery. Sorry Luba. Don't mean to bust your bubble and the picture is real, just not the exact circumstances surrounding it. I saw this a couple years ago and a friend of mine who checks a lot of these things out on Snopes.com popped my bubble too. The baby's arm flopped out of the uterus and the doctor was putting it back inside.
