Default Changing the focus

As much as I like messing around creating game movies, there simply is no time for running gamemoviemaking.com due to its narrow focus. I actually started trying to shift the focus slightly on gamemoviemaking.com slowly but the name will hamstring my efforts.

A while back I helped a friend create and configure a gaming website under the url Fragtard.net (which I made up). He has let the site falter and as such, lost ownership of the url. Earlier today I purchased the url fragtard.net because it is a funny name and I like it for personal reasons.

Since I've been considering changing the focus of gamemoviemaking.com and unhappy with the site overall, I wonder if it's time to rebuild it into something I can be proud of and forward the gamemovimaking.com and .net url's to a new gaming site, fragtard.net?

The site would undergo a complete redesign and would consist of joomla and phpbb3 forums. It would be completely gaming focused from PC games to consoles (if that's your thing) as well as other forms of gaming either online or off.

Anyone have any thoughts on the matter?

I am not much of a gamer but I know you really enjoy it and I know you have worked hard to make gamemoviemaking into a wonderful site. I think it is a great idea.

I've setup an account for Fragtard.net and have been messing around with a theme that I think is indicative of gaming. The more work I put into it the more I realize this may be the best idea to move those sites forward all within one url that works for a gaming site.

If you're interested you can view what I have so far Fragtard.net

Please keep in mind the theme is nowhere near complete.

Also, there are multiple issues when viewed through Internet Explorer so if possible view only through Firefox or Opera at this time.

Looks nice. I will have to make it a point to take more time and look around a bit more.

It's still a mess through IE 6 (not sure about 7) and will cause crashing now and again. Firefox and Opera both seem to render it pretty good though.

This sounds like a neat idea. I wish you great success with it and a lot of fun fixing it up.

Thanks

A few bugs aside it's actually coming across rather nicely. The more I put into it the more I'm convinced this is the right direction to take in regards to gamemoviemaking.com.

Sorry for my absence folks but I've been extremely busy trying to get Fragtard.net to a state of readiness.

While many issues remain I'm quite happy with where the site is headed thus far. The forums are now online and fully configured so if you find yourself with a few minutes and nothing to do, why not head on over?

Thanks.

...btw, should you encounter any issues, please post them here.
