I think so. The problem for me is that I hardly have any time to read. Not to mention read recent stuff, as it takes a long time before the North American market is available in SA.

Didn't we come up with this idea a while ago and reject it because nobody was really into it? I don't mind starting up a book club, hell I can prolly get discounts on boox through Amazon (have to check as its been a while) for anyone who purchases via Lifesupporters.

I just don't want to go through the work if there's no real interest.

I do think its a great idea, the problem lies in that we don't have enough membership to make it more than one or two people discussing different books.

i think what luba means is instead of doing it book club way - where everyone reads the same book and then talks about it.
we just discuss books in general - a lot easier for those who cant get hold of certain books due to lack of money or the fact that there is books in the uk/us that you cant get in the other etc.

I just finished reading "Eat, Pray, Love" by Elizabeth Gilbert; of course, recommended by Oprah for her Book Club; even watched Ms. Gilbert on the Show, what a great, great book!

I'd suggest then that the book discussions should take place in the Entertainment Forum. I'd also suggest titling topics something to the effect of Book Discussion: Book Title

...this way, we can easily find all book related discussions and move them to a new and separate forum should this become popular here.

I can also create a Book Discussion subForum under Entertainment and if it gets used, great; if not then it can always be combined with another forum in the future.

Either or, it's all up to you.
