Default Testimonials

Updated Feb 5, 2008:

Actual member testimonials currently in use. All testimonials have been taken from the "Welcome our Newest Members" thread.

Should you wish to have your testimonial added, edited, or deleted, please contact me via Private Message.

BTW, BIG THANKS to those of you who have or wish to add a testimonial; very, very much appreciated!!!

DanG: "It's better to have somewhere to escape to sometimes I find."

Duke: "Pretty soon you're a part of an online family that really cares about you and what's going on in your daily life."

GamerGal: "i cant thank you all enough for making me so welcome i really cant!"

gingham:
"I want to thank everyone for the nice welcome! From what I've seen of this site, it's going to be a great one!"

IvyRose: "I do have to say that after reading for a couple of days that it is a refreshing change from other forums. I was beginning to wonder if there was a nice place anywhere on the InterNet. Even most so-called support forums are full of trolls poking sticks at people's real lives they've shared."

kathy: "Thank you for all your kind support, its just nice to have people to talk to i am so glad i have found this website, it is such a great website and there are some really great people on here."

Luba: "It really is a very caring, supportive, laugh-filled, lighthearted, loving community."

Merika: "I hope ALL the new members share your vision and can see how great it is when all generations come together......not just for diologue....but finding a place of understanding."

TKDLady: "This site has been a life saver for me and I hope you find what you are looking for here as well."

Zil: "I already consider everyone here to be my good friends or are on their way to becoming my good friends."

...

I was reading one of our newest members welcome thread and was touched by the words this member expressed in regards to this site. I really do love it here and can't praise the membership enough as I'm sure you've all noticed.

I've also come across very kind comments in regards to this site and I was wondering how you all would feel if I was to create a "Testimonials Page" for Lifesupporters.com?

Essentially, I'd ask that members willing to do so, write up a testimonial of any length (be it a few words, a sentence, paragraph or whatever) and I'll publish it with a link to your membership within the forums. If we are to proceed with this idea the testimonials will actually have there own button above the header to replace the "Calendar" Button.

Thoughts?

Seems like a plan. But perhaps it would be better to combine the testimonials with the lifesupporters.com/ standard address.

Sorry Vautrin, as usual you're prolly a few intellectual steps ahead of me. Can you explain what you mean about standard address?

I just meant Lifesupporters.com. You know, the page it automatically directs to when you type in that address. If you could display 2 or 3 of these testimonials there it would reinforce the idea of LifeSupporters as a warm and welcoming site. It also draws the attention to whatever is written in the comments. Ideally, you would want to "shuffle" from a larger pool of comments, so each time you visit the main page, you are faced with different opinions of the members on LifeSupporters.

Once you are a regularly posting or browsing member, I think the threads speak for themselves. :d

Good point.

I got an idea on how to encorporate both ideas. I may actually be able to create an ajax flash module that rotates the testimonials in a block on the main page (much like the existing news flash to the right of the image banner). This module would have a re-direct link at the bottom to read more testimonials.
