Technical Help forum?

so, i know this isnt a comptuer related forum.

but we do use computers to access it, and every now and then something with our wonderful peice of techincal machinery goes wrong, and not everyone knows how to fix it.

i suggest a forum where, we can help eachother out, either with our own knowledge or by helping eachother search and find the knowledge.

from help with software - installing programs, updating drivers and getting rid of pesky viruses
to hardware - getting the bits you need to make the machine match the things you want to use it for, help on installing them, updating them and keeping them running.

what ya think?

I agree, we certainly could use a Tech Help Forum here because there are other things such as site usage that could definitely fit into it as well. What I might do is create an 00ber post of the "Resources" Forum and change it to the "Tech Help" Forum.

Great idea and I would be willing to lend a hand in the tech support area. No worries I am not a fan boi =P

I would think that general help would be a good idea, no forums for um.... "extreme users" heh (a few come to mind and most the users berate you for asking simple questions and call you a n00b if your system wasn't purchased yesterday or if you are considering purchasing new equipment that isn't "the best")

anyhow lemme know if the tech support idea gains any merit...

No problem at all GG, thanks for the suggestion.

I usually muddle my way through technical issues so I'll offer input now and again but I'm not a Tech Resource by any stretch of the imagination.
