I'll see if I can save it in an older version of .psd. Would it be better to try and save it as another file extension?

What I mean by highlight color is instead of just shades of grey make one of the grey shades a pale color of sometype. Kind of like those black and white pictures that have a part that is colored. For example a black and white picture of a couple at their wedding holding hands and looking at their rings and at the bottom a full color red rose and green stem or something like that. Maybe it isn't possible with photoshop. I don't know. It was just a suggestion. I think it looks fine as is too.

Duke. the only thing that paint shop reads that has layers is PSD and PSP files
cap that off with my slightly older version

so i dunno perhaps each seperate layer saved as a diff type of file?

Yes, that is exactly what I was thinking. I don't think it messes up the black and white idea and it gives it just a hint of color. Did you do that? You need to tell me how.

it's alot easier than ya think

i used the selection tool - outlined the area i wanted to edit - then i adjusted the RBG value til i got a color i liked

all in paint shop pro

I'll adjust the banner to make it more consistent with your faded color banner and post a few alternatives sometime soon. I'll likely use either a color replace or the hue tool or possibly both.
