Blog Articles

As most of you know, I've never had a blog before and the only reason I created this one was due to member requests over the years. Although I think a blog is a great asset to Lifesupporters.com I must admit, I have no idea what kind of articles to put up there.

Does anyone have any ideas what kind of content should go on the blog?

BTW, it's imperative that any blog content does not conflict with our News Page as thats where I'd like the factual stuff to go.

A blog to me is like a daily journal of things happening in your life. I am not quite sure either. Probably one of the reasons I have never done one.

Why is it called 'Blog'? It reminds me of mud; probably because it's so close to bog...

Blogs mainly serve to comment on news or your own interests, or what goes on in your life. It would be a bit of a duplicate business for LifeSupporters though.

Blog is a shortening of web log.

I'd created a Header Block for the blog a few days ago and this is what it says:

Due to popular demand the time has come to publish a blog for Lifesupporters.com. Lifesupporters blog will contain articles written more from a personal point of view instead of the factual based articles found on our Lifesupporters News Page.

As with stories published on the main page, all blog entries will be fed via RSS to our Discussion Forums. Should you wish to comment on any of the blog articles, simply register within our forums and join in the fun.

...so it looks like I was on the right track after all. All I'll do is keep the personal stuff out of the news as much as possible and keep it more factual based whereas the blog will contain more personal articles not based on fact as much as emotion.
