Re: Euro 2008
Wow, I was not aware you followed football / soccer Luba.
I am quite happy that the Dutch are out. I really can't stand the orange euphoria, where every bloody item you get is specially painted in orange. I would not even be surprised if coffins were repainted for the bloody occasion.
So, since Saturday sanity seems slowly to be returning to the country.
And even better: the teams I picked as favorites (Germany and Spain) are still in.

If I was retired, I'd watch more of it! Right now it's just watching the highlights, but I think it's an exciting game! Hockey is Canada's game so, rarely would you hear about anyone talking about soccer that much; though a LOT of kids play soccer; go figure!

Re: Euro 2008
Strange enough, the Canadian women are quite decent. But the problem with women's sport is that there barely is any money in it.

Yes. I am turn between the general anti-German sentiment and my pro-German gf.

Yes, perhaps Scotland will qualify.

Re: Euro 2008
It was a trashing. The bit that surprised me the most is that Spain did not score a second, a third or even a fourth goal.

Re: Euro 2008
Really depends on where you live.
Except for the first few minutes of the game, Spain was in control for the whole game.

Re: Euro 2008
Are you happy that Spain won, Vautrin? Did I understand correctly that they hadn't won in 44 years?
I'm just getting into Soccer more, so I'm not sure of any data.
