Default If you knew THEN

What you know NOW....would you do it again?

Any relationship....at any time....looming in the back of your heart.

I'd do it all again because it's helped me to have a better understanding of who I want to be with and who I truly am. I've actually learned a lot about myself through my failed relationships.

Gosh....if I learned a lot about myself everytime I had a failed relationship....I would be a virtual walking ENCYCLOPEDIA!

Even though I agree that failed relationships mold, shape and build character...they can also leave you cold, bitter and in need of a beer. LOL! I think once it gets to a point where it leaves you without the ability to ever trust another person's, much less your own, love feelings....it's went beyond the point of being 'useful' in any way.

That would be like saying the dent in your car made you a better driver....and perhaps it did...however, if the car was totaled....????

I hear what you're saying and was affected greatly by only one failed relationship lifetime. It did leave scars but didn't take away my faith in women. Not all women are alike and same goes for men. You cannot judge the gender, race, religion, etc., based off of principles of one person.

But if you couldn't trust something you thought was a SURE THING....how do you get to a place of ever having those same feelings with the same amount of vulnerability again?

Maybe it's a time thing.....

Difficult question. Would I be me if I didn't or not?

Got no idea.

Ahhhh.....good point Mondo. Maybe it does take the bad knocks in life to shape us into who we ultimately become whether it has negative or positive effects.

I was a much weaker docile person until my heart was thrown in the spin cycle of a cruel dryer! HAHA!

It all kinda felt like this.....

There's no such thing in life as a sure thing. I don't consider that an option which may be the basis behind my healing process.

Not only that, but being miserable and judging people based off of a failed relationship is unfair to them and makes me look like a jerk.

Could be why I have such FEW dates......

Seriously, I don't know that I pre-judge future candidates. I just don't have the energy left to go there again. That may change in time though....who knows??

Well time heals all wounds, or so they say. It's one of the reasons that women are able to bear children after a short while. Both the body and the mind forget the pain of child rearing.

I'm assuming you meant 'bearing'.

It's the 'rearing' which makes us old, gray and very very CRANKY!
