Default Ghosts and Spirits

Do any of you believe in ghosts? have any of you had any experiences with them?

I do believe in ghosts and spirits. I've had a couple odd things happen in the past that were a little spooky with Krystal's father. He was native indian and they are very spiritual people.

According to Sylvia Brown, we all have a guide and guardian angels watching over us. What are your thoughts?

Every time I take a walk at this one specific area I "chat" with my deceased brother and good friend that passed away.. not out loud or anything but I feel them there It's kind of a self prayer spirtiual place I go to get my head clear and guidance within myself and for some reason I feel them both walking beside me. It's a very peaceful, intimate place for me.

Do I REALLY think they are there? I don't know, maby in spirit they are or maby it's just my mind comforting me but It makes me feel a connection to the people I love who arn't with me and rather it's fake or not I still like the feeling.

After my bf's brother commited suicide, his mom got a bit weird and started trying almost anything to contact the dead. Apparently she'd done some strange stuff, 'cause even her spiritual guiders stopped contacting her. My bf would tell me about things he'd see in their old home... she'd just go in deeper and deeper, all alone.

So after a while she wanted to stop, but had a hard time doing so, especially since the house seemed to make her feel very uncomfortable. So they moved out.

I totally don't believe in boo-hoo-hoo stories, but I admit that it does not mean they don't happen or that spirits don't exist. And some people have a medium strike inside them and they are a bit more prone to feeling things. The trick, IMO is that dead people shall remain dead and alive people among the living. So, yeah, Control is the key.

I've lived in a couple of haunted houses and it was terrifying. I saw a dog (rotweiller) just disapear right in front of my eyes once. Then one night, a friend and i decided we were going to visit Krystal's dad at the cemetary. Why we went at night is beyond me but i'll never do that again! We got chased by 2 big black rotweillers. as soon as we got into the car, they disapeared right in front of our eyes! Poof! just like that, vanished! We were so scared! We haven't been back to that cemetary since that night and this was years ago.

I've seen a lot more things happen then that but if I start telling all the stories, i'll look like a lunatic. :?

This is just what I believe about the subject:
I believe people have a 6th Sense which has never been fully explored or developed. I believe this is the gateway into the spiritual side of humans and their co-existence with the spiritual realm of God. However, I wouldn't ever play around in that area without the guidance and assistance of the Holy Spirit.

The Bible has a lot to say about the spiritual realm. I personally accept it as being a valid dimension because it's there where I converse with God. I also think that if a person plays with it without God....they are entering dangerous territory beyond their understanding and possibly their control. I would be horrified to dabble in the supernatural. It's too real of a world. I

you're right. It is way too dangerous to be playing around with. Play around with the supernatural and you are inviting evil in. I believe that people who can see things have a gift from God and they must cherish this gift and use it for the good, not the bad.

Ouija boards are the most dangerous things you can play around with. Most of us have played with one when we were younger, I have but I would never do that now! The thing that bugs me about those Ouija boards is that they're sold at stores as a game. I guess it is a game but what they fail to warn you about is that this is a very dangerous game to play. I think that has been proven in the past.

Have any of you ever attended or heard of a church where they talk in toungs?? It's that particular religion's way of communicating with the ' holly spirits' it sent me running.

my mother claimed that she could talk in tougues when i was a teenager. I think it's all a bunch of bull if you ask me. she doesn't claim she does that anymore. I heard them in church once and just about died laughing it was so rediculous. I think it's hogwash myself.

'Tongues' are considered a universal language in a spiritual world. It's not considered a requirement.....but a gift. IF you believe the Holy Spirit lives within you, depending on your particular faith, when you don't know what to say....you can ask the Holy Spirit to give you the words needed. This is particulary useful if someone spends a great deal of time praying for others.

That is the basic teaching on it. Whether someone believes it or not....is their own choice.

She could speak tongues too. My bf claims having some tapes with it.

I like her a lot, she's a very rich person from a spiritual pov. Imagine: she went all alone to Syria last year and visited some mosques, the beduin tribes... I remind you that she's the principal of a Catholic school.

Some people need the contact with something that's ... very spiritual and diverse. They seek, they constantly are seeking for something... I think she may be one of those people.

Moving closer to God is a fabulous jouney....also a very difficult one. I so admire people with the tenacity to make it their business to find out as much about Him as they can. These are the people who are the most at peace with themselves and seem to enjoy life at another level. I have friends like that in my past....who greatly influenced my life.

I've been given it a lot of though lately....and am not happy AT ALL where my spiritual life is.

Merika,

I don't know how she was before. But I think that more than seeking God, she searches for something ... She went to Palestina, tha year before and she wants to visit Israel next year. Maybe she wants/tries to forgive herself.

As far as my spiritual life concerns, I haven't given it that much of an importance.I feel at times the need to pray, it suffocates me. Don't know why, maybe because I do need HIM more in my life.

Should this topic maybe be moved to the religion area?
