(I've lost MORE posts today!)
Anyway, as I was saying, I think the whole shackle thing is for 'effect' to let these kids know a crime in a crime.....not child's play.
For a Mom - it's terrible. For a kid - it's a lesson.

You want to scare your child about being locked up in a detention center, rent the movie Sleepers.

I saw my daughter in the box in handcuffs today, pregnant to boot. It's really heartbreaking to see and you are right merika. it's terrible for us but a good hard lesson for the child. I hope there was a lesson learned.

snoopy, i'm very happy to hear that you've learned a valuable lesson. It was pretty scary wasn't it. I would be terrified and i'm an adult! Life is way too short to waste and you want to live it with no regrets. Welcome home snoopy.

It's nice to see you've learned from it sn00py, believe me, you're a small positive percentage of a crappy statistic. What many kids don't realize is that crime isn't something you just do, it's a way of life. Exactly the same as substance abuse, tyranny, mental/physical abuse, etc.
