Personally I never gave in to my daughters whining, fortunately she doesn't do much of it. I either would ignore it or just glare at her and tell her to stop her moaning. That always seemed to be enough.

I never gave in to whinning either. that is one thing that really annoys me. it only gets worse if you do give in to it.

If I had a dollar for everytime I told my kids to use their 'real voice' , instead of the alternate whiney one, I'd be a rich woman.

Sn00py is the WORST one for doing this! He will whine until you give in just to shut him up.

Yes....WHINING at a young age prepares males for their 'dating' years'! I've actually heard men who were so good at it....it was all I could do to keep from laughing!
