Spending kid time....

If you are married or in a relationship.....how do you balance the time you spend with your child(s) and the time you have alone with the other adult in your life?

It's easy for me because my parents live close and they love to watch their grandson on Saturday nights so I spend this time with Greg and on Sundays it's "faimly days" so corney but it works we go to church and do something fun as a faimly

Alone time for me and wifey would be when the kids are asleep or we'd go away together for a weekend or two on a timetable we both agree on.

We steal our time. although it's much easier now that our kids are older and hardly home. We never needed time away from our kids. we did everything with them always. except for this one time.

it was our first year anniversary and we decided to get out favorite cottage and spend the weekend there alone without the kids. we were sooooo bored and we both started crying 1 hour after we first got there because we missed them so much. We never put ourselves through that again.

hubby and I are always hugging or kissing so the only time we ever need to be alone is to ... :wink: so we steal that time. It's been working for us for the past 15 years!
