Default Never Dye your hair when pregnant!

OMG! I am now almost 6 months pregnant and on hair color #3!!! The dye doesn't work the same when your pregnant God knows why.

I've gone blonde to brown & I am trying to put my blond highlights back and they turned a funky green/ yellow color.. :?

Anyone have any ideas before my hair falls out???

you can't dye your hair when you're pregnant. the dye doesn't stick properly to the hair. I'm afraid that you'll have to wait until after you give birth before dying your hair. especially frm brown to blonde highlights.

i think they should put that on the boxes too.

try calling a hairdresser to see if there isn't anything available for pregnant women that you can put in your hair to remove the green. they might be able to tell you more. you never know.

My hairdresser said the same thing as you. "Leave it alone" she said I cna't dye my hair anymore because it will be so damaged I'll have to cut most of it off. :?

the good news is that dye leaves the hair quickly when you're pregnant because it doesn't stick to it so it'll probably wash out quicker then normal. wash your hair a few times with a shampoo that's got lemon in it. then condition it big time! pantene for color treated hair is the best!

For a pregnant woman, it becomes a harmonal problem....just as certain times of the month your hair color won't take color as well. You can goof with it.....but as Star said....staying with lemon, or a Sun In product or even a light Henna will keep your roots from getting totally retarded looking.

Here is an article with some hints....but still doesn't say too much:

HEather, whatever you do, don't try to repair it by using other chemical products. HAve patience, lots of patience.

I've experienced tones of things with my hair and I think I had almost every color ... I'm starting to feel the price of it, though. Thanks Lord I do have lots of hair, LOOL!!
