I'm absolutely choked up reading that beautiful, beautiful piece, Duke! I'll just wait until the tears subside....

Without a doubt, she is very beautiful inside, outside, and clear right through! Whenever I feel sorry for myself (like now) that I haven't been able to 'grow up' with her as well, and watch her grow and become an amazing young lady because of these hundreds of miles that separate us, I think of the moments I was fortunate enough to spend with her; like when she was here for that amazing week; or the laughs and joys I experienced with the three of us together at your place, Duke.

You all have brought me SO much Joy in my life, I'm SO humbly, humbly Grateful! Thank you, thank you, thank you to you both, Duke and Dwoing!

I hate to tell you this, Duke, but if I were you I'd get your broom, bat, or stick ready because your daughter/my granddaughter is the nicest, sweetest, gentlest, hilarious, wonderful, beautiful, intelligent ( I better stop now as there just won't be enough space to put in all the wonderful things I could say about Dwoing, but you get the picture) and boys will be swarming around her. I'd be practising my swing and evil-eye look if I were you! It's a L-o-n-g way until forty for Dwoing!

Boys have been interested in her for years now but with limited amounts of reciprocity. Now my daughter is becoming interested as well and it's driving me ever closer to a heart attack.

I have discussed with her though the importance of me meeting her suitors because it's imperative they know where I stand. I really don't mind my kid dating (although I hope she does wait a few years) but when she finally starts I want the boys to know how serious I am about not playing her dirty. I know what boys think so there's no bs'ing me on the topic and I'll be sure to hammer that fact home.

I'm a pretty big guy with a big temper when someone screws around someone I care about and I'll be sure they know that fact. I'll be your best buds but if you screw with my kid you're in for a world of hurt.
