Default My biological clock is ticking

I have had a serious case of the I Want A Baby blues lately. It's very hard when you are w/the man you plan to marry but you are in a holding pattern. We are trying to pay off all of our Young and Dumb debts (should be finished this year) but in the meantime I have I'm Ready to be a Mommy syndrome!

I've applied w/Big Brothers Big Sisters to find a little pal to help

Any other ideas? Anyone else go thru this at the ripe ole age of 25? I actually feel silly about this longing but that doesn't stop me from dreaming....

Faye your life will ever be the same once you have kids and you are so young. Suppress the urge and have fun, frolics and adventure. Your twenties will never come again, you can have babies for AGES yet.

My sister has been exceptionally broody since I had kids, she's a couple of years younger than you and is on a world tour now. So far she's winning, but I fully expect that one day soon the hormones will gain the upper hand.

(Note to Don - PAY ATTENTION )

thanks meanon

rationally I grasp all of what you say

irrationally- i don't care

I think part of it is having a mother who raised me young and on her own- I think all moms can be supermom! LOL

Don't worry- I have no plans to design a nursery any time soon. I was just looking for advice on how to deal w/the Mommy pangs.

I felt the same way at around that age so I did have a baby at 24. I was a week short of 25 when Krystal was born. I think it's a normal feeling for women to go through at that age. You see some of your friends starting to have kids and you get to feel like you want one too.

I've always said that nobody is ready to have a baby until you actually have one. Your bilogical clock is far from running out so you still have plenty of time. Enjoy the time you have left!

Why don't you and SAM PLAN to have a baby in the next couple years.... ( do as I say NOT AS I DO!!) LMAO

When are you getting married? Set a date then set a date for babies... that way you can make sure your insured to have a baby. In 6 months if you still feel like this I'll sen you a ticket and you can watch my kids for a week that will change your mind LOL

When you are a mommy you will see that Other's people's kids Behave ALOT Better than you own.... Our kids push OUR buttons, but won't dare do it to someone who isn't there parent...

I LOVE it when Noah's friends come over because they are so nice and polite then he acts like a vrat to me.. It's vice versa with there mothers.

Keep my kids a week and that longing will go right out the window!!! LOL!

I'm with Star....you are at an age when it's perfectly normal to want a baby....family....nesting feeling. Ofcourse, it would be best if you and your SO agree on the timing....but you never know when these things can surprise you either.

I don't think there is anything you can do to make the longing leave....nor should you.....it's an instinctive feeling to be proud of.

You know how strongly I feel about NOT having kids the next couple of years and even I have second thoughts.

Star is sooo right. Ever so oftern I see little babies walking funny( like they do) and I just wanna have one too. On the spot if possible, LOOL.
I hope none of my friends have babies. I'd be dead jealous and will most probably have one too, I think.

But then I hear them cry - remember my ancient thread? - and I come to my senses.

Faye, it's 4 weeks of promotions in PAris, babies everywhere in this city, in all shops are screaming their laungs out, I say one short trip here will cure you 100%! And leave you broke .
