I did spend time with my adoptive daughter Olivia.We have a great adoptive mom/adoptive daughter relationship.I see she is very talented drawing and painting,wants to be an artist for her career.My husband and I support her knowing this is her choice.She even drew a pcture of me,with a wrench in my hand and the German flag behind me.I liked it so far and still do,I already it framed and it is my den.I have comforted her,she was molested by her father when she was 10 years old and I told her that I was raped badly at her age.Olivia does know that she not alone and goes to a support group for rape and sexual abuse surviviors with me every Monday night.

I think it's great that you 2 have each other. It sounds like you have a wonderful and stable relationship, which is something that everyone needs.

It's unusual to hear that adoptive parents and children settle in so quickly with each other; especially through everything you've all been through! You are ALL a true inspiration!

Olivia comsiders me one of her best friends and a great mom to her.She has been getting to know me too and even asked me why my parents and I immigrated to America from Germany when I was 4 years old.I told her that my father wanted my mom and I,even him to have a better life with freedom.She did do a drawing of my dog Zoe with a tennis ball in her mouth today and handed it to me this afternoon.
