my parents used to take us on road trips a lot when we were kids. those memories i hold dear to my heart. we used to have such a great time.

I just found this post. I thought I would respond. My best memories are when my dad took us all fishing in the Black Hills. I loved that time in my life.

Before we were able to afford our first Television, Dad and I used to walk to the neighbours and watch "Have Gun Will Travel" and "Gunsmoke" on a Saturday night to our neighbour's/relatives. When we were finally able to afford one, Mom and I used to watch "Edge of Night" together; we both loved the show so much...

Playing cards with my Dad and singing Russian songs. Sitting at the table with Mom while she ate; she was one of those kind, old-fashioned women who served everyone first; then sat down to eat and we'd talk...Having tea with both of them in the early mornings after the wood was in the stove and lit...

Dear God, how I miss them both

My dad passed away when I was 9. I miss him more now and when I was a teenager than I did at the time. Your evenings sounded fun.
