I'm definately not a "time-out" kinda person. I believe in spankings. I was spanked as a child and I honestly think it's made me a better person today.
I was a bad bad kid. I was always doing whatever I shouldn't have been so me and the fly swat had regular meetings. Sometimes I had to go get my own switch of a tree somewhere...shudder...now that is an unpleasant-yet funny-memory. My mom used to have to hold one of my hands and chase me around in circles to whip me because I'd run from her...at least try to....

That reminded me of my Grandmother. She would hold your hand on purpose and tell you to dance while she switched the back of your legs. It sounds cruel....but it REALLY works! I think a nice thin swtch is as bad as it gets without feeling abused. HAHA! It STINGS......
My kids never responded well to 'time out'. It just gave them MORE time to think of what they could do next....usually to each other. I can truly say it's the arguing and fighting among them which drives me nuts. The rest is just piddly stuff I could deal with.

I was a bad kid too. Now that I'm grown up I'm much worse.

I was a very good kid. My little sister was quite a little devil and would get spank every other day (I'd just say that her quota was changing her cloths when playing on the gound/getting dirty at least three dresses a day, no matter what).
She'd chase and beat most of the the little boys in the neighbourhood. Even when I was little, I was amazed at the troubles she'd get into, LOOL.
Mom confessed that if she were the first born, I wouldn't have existed... My dad obviously adores us!

Isn't it a rule that all fathers are complete push-overs when it comes to daughters?

Picture that: it was shortly after the fall of communism. Very little weighes.
In my country, the first Barbie dolls would show up in stores. My sister cried and moaned and cried and fussed until my father paid... half his salary for one.
If that ain't L.O.V.E., I don't know what is. (Other people may call it manipulation, but who cares )

You're Russian?
I'm half Russian, my grandparents came straight from Russia to Saskatchewan then settled in the Interior of British Columbia.

How much of a sunburn would you get in Canada? I'm sorry....it just sounded funny.

Just as much as a sunburn as where you are if you're fair-skinned and poorly protected.

I guess I just didn't realize people from Canada did the 'sunburn' thing. Shows you how limited my knowledge is.
I'm real fair skinned too. After I peel once though....I'll tan real well towards an olive color. When I worked in the sun all last year....I was so tanned....my teethe almost glowed in the dark. I'll have to post one of those pics one day.
