BTW, I hope I didn't come across as a condescending asshat in my previous post. I've had the parent dreams about my child and grave danger, I've looked away for a second only to see her more than 50 yards away, I've seen her mowed down by a big, friendly dog that could have just as easily tore her throat out so my logic is extremely biased.

I DO understand the reasoning about not putting people to death and respect it. There's a lot to be considered when trying to remain a civilized sensible society. I've struggled with the same thoughts for years.

But if it becomes YOUR loved one or child.....and to top it off keeping the SOB alive comes from your own hard earned tax dollars......you can sure see it differently.

I personally don't see Scott Peterson as a menace to society....then again....it wasn't MY daughter and grandchild he killed.

If it were.....I'm with Duke....I could pull the lever myself.

I happen to agree with that DA. I think it should be regulated and each female should have to carry an updated health check card. It actually makes me mad on TV when the cops do 'stings' and arrest some female they propositioned in the first place. I have real issues with that. Then again, I live in a Navy town....where prostitution is much needed. There are LOTS of single young men here and they need the interaction...so to speak.

I don't know how I feel about lethal injection. It seems they make such a big dramatic deal over it. Why not give someone a shot to put them to sleep....and THEN start the injections? Then again, maybe it's the fear factor which deters furture criminals.

Remember when there seemed to be a young girl missing every month who was raped and killed until they put that A$$ in California to death for raping and killing that 11 year old girl in San Diegot? It changed the statistics dramatically. These guys now realized they weren't going to get a free ride in jail for the rest of their lives.....they were going to DIE! It sends a message.

I feel like Duke does when it comes to my kids. If anyone ever put their hands on my kids and hurt them, I'd be in jail for murder myself. I would torture the hell out of that monster until he begged me to kill him. So many kids get molested and killed it's pathetic. Why? because they keep letting these monsters out on the streets. It's sickening! Now with the internet, it's even scarier for our kids.

You have to wonder what could a person possibly be thinking to do such things to another human being, a child. I'll never comprehend it. Those monsters are beyond help. When they're caught, they should be put to death. MHO

I simply refuse to spend $60,000 a year keeping someone on death row who committed a huge enough crime to be there in the first place. I don't want to feed them, house them, give them cable TV, dental care, medical care or clothes.

They didn't respect someone else's life....therefore they lost the right of my respect for THEIR life.

In America....it's illegal to make money off of your crime....in terms of book or movie rights....but I bet lots of it is filtered to the family though.
