Default Odd Laws...

In Montana, It is a misdemeanor to show movies that depict acts of felonious crime.

In Nevada, it’s still "legal" to hang someone for shooting your dog on your property. (OMG)

In Georgia, Members of the state assembly cannot be ticketed for speeding while the state assembly is in session.

In Illinois, You may be convicted of a Class 4 felony offense, punishable by up to three years in state prison, for the crime of “eavesdropping" on your own conversation. -720 ILCS 5/14-2.

In Kentucky, it is illegal to fish with a bow and arrow.

In Montana, it is illegal for married women to go fishing alone on Sundays, and illegal for unmarried women to fish alone at all.

In Massachusetts, It is unlawful to injure a football goal post, doing so is punishable by a $200 fine.

In Delaware, It is illegal to fly over any body of water, unless one is carrying sufficient supplies of food and drink.

In Arizona, There is a possible 25 years in prison for cutting down a cactus

In New York, while riding in an elevator, one must talk to no one, and fold his hands while looking toward the door.

In Louisiana, Biting someone with your natural teeth is "simple assault," while biting someone with your false teeth is "aggravated assault."

In New York, a fine of $25 can be levied for flirting. This old law specifically prohibits men from turning around on any city street and looking "at a woman in that way." A second conviction for a crime of this magnitude calls for the violating male to be forced to wear a "pair of horse-blinders" wherever and whenever he goes outside for a stroll.

Are there moviehouses there?

Now, if someone shot your wife / husband / kid on your property, is it legal to hang the perpetrator of that act?

Any other offences impossible to commit? This one is highly interesting.

Well, there goes that excuse for unmarried women, to spend the day outdoors.

If there are football games, is there a police officer present to arrest the person who is responsible for that? And more importantly, is the game being halted, because of that?

Figures... if you crash land one thing that must be accounted for is the complete safety of the food and water, even if it is detrimental to the health of passengers.

Now, is a police-officer allowed by law to arrest a suspect of such a devious act in the elevator?

Does it make a difference if you are wearing the false teeth, or just using the false teeth, to injure a person?

I was a city clerk in a town which - as per their town charter - that still didn't allow females or monorities to vote. Federal laws surpass any municipality and state laws though. Most of the time they just don't rewrite their original charter due to it costing so much money. This is why we end up with so many odd laws still on the books.

Some are funny too.....like you aren't allowed to throw your horse manure in the street or had an outhouse which was never washed out. We used to read them and try to figure out how they got started over a bottle of wine. It was interesting entertainment.

I can imagine that. Are these charters available online, in some cases? These are great for laughs, and you tend to come up with the weirdest thoughts and associations.
