Shots for Kitty
We took our kitty for shots just now and got her claws clipped a little so she wouldn't catch on everything; and she hates me now She ran out as soon as we got in and I pray she comes back...

She will be back. Just bribe her with some food. Some cats have an extremely good memory for things like this, and this may well alter the relationship between her and her subjects.
Hopefully she will not, and rule the household as usual.
Why would you clip her claws? Can't see use her claws as well as she should? Or has she a problem to keep the claws 'in'? It could even be the floor, as some kitties have floor issues.
My parents have cats, but the kitties can go outside, and do whatever with their claws, to keep them in shape (scratching and such on trees).

She's back and seems to have dealt with the "incident" of this morning. We get her claws clipped that no matter how much she scratches on things they are still sharp and she gets them caught in afghans and blankets. Because we are at work most of the day, the thought terrifies me that she would just be hanging on an afghan and not be able to retract her claws. Happened once when I was home, and I thought I'd have a heart attack...We didn't do the horrible thing of getting her de-clawed which is described as a terrible procedure for a cat, just had them clipped.

Clipping is wise then. I hope she already ordered an extra bit of ground beef and fish, at "Chez Luba."

Why didn't you just buy some pet clippers and clip them yourself? Our dog hates it when we do that. Our cat probably needs it, but she stays outside a lot and may need them to get up a tree real fast if someone's dog gets out.

I'm sorry, Merika, I had to laugh at the first sentence. It takes a vet and an assistant to hold her down to clip her nails, it's actually funny to see professionals deal with out cat! Remember, she was wild when she came to live with us and she still has a lot of wildness about her and though she's okay around us, she hates to even be brushed. I tried that several times and she's even attacked the brush. My husband and I don't even dare attempt to clip her claws/nails. She would make a great pet actress in a horror movie when she's upset and wild; she's all black, too.

I only think he went after your eye because the big fatty was hungry.

My parents have a cat (always domestic) that cannot even be controlled by the vet, and both of my parents at the same time. And the vet usually has no problems at all to control a cat on his own, but this one is a red-haired monster .
