Our dog is jealous
OMG! Our little dog Mickey is so jealous of the baby it's hillarious! Eveytime we go to the baby or talk to her, he's right there in our faces as if to say...what about me?! LOL! He would never hurt her or anything but the jealousy is unreal! I knew he was a sucky doggy but I didn't know he was this much of a sucky. Kassandra trained him. LOL!
So now, we try to give him as much attention as we possibly can.

Animals are funny like that especially needy animals such as dogs. I remember seeing this special on TV about Parrot owners and a clinic that actually addresses parrot and other exotic birds mental problems. Many of them go as far as attacking a new addition to the family and even self mutilation.

Once Erika gets a little bigger and can get around on her own....they will probably become great friends. Until then though....all the dog knows is that he's been replaced with a cuter 'pet'. LOL!
Our dog would feel the same way. He gets upset when the kids hold the cat and she was here before he was.

I'm sure they'll be great friends until she starts to pull on his ears and tail. LOL!

We had this big fat english bulldog when my daughter was a toddler. He actually liked her so much he let her pull him around with his tongue. Things that we consider abuse....dogs often take as attention.
It won't be too long before her she'll be big enough to check it all out. That toddler stage is tough. They get into and under everything. I remember thinking that's why God made them so cute....so we would keep them. HAHA!

I'm not in no hurry for her to crawl, talk or walk for that reason. If she's going to be anything like Krystal was as a toddler, OMG! I'm in for a ride! LOL! One thing I really am not looking forward to is the potty training. I hate that job!

at least when they where diapers it stays in the diaper. potty training, it sometimes ends up in places it shouldn't. Ewwwwe! Oh well, it's a dirty job and somebody has to do it. might as well be me! 8O

It didn't always stay in the diaper star.

I think everyone has a diaper horror story.
Mine is with my oldest son. My sister in law had a boy almost the same age....I guess they were 8 months old or so....and had just bought a new Mercedes (no less). We let the boys out of their car seats to crawl around all over the spacious back seat area while eating our hamburgers at a drive in. All of a sudden it started to smell....and my son had that stuff all over his face, body, the other baby and the back of the car. It was SOOO Nasty!
The only redeeming factor is that the car was camel colored and had leather seats.

Krystal was about 1 year old when I woke up to her full of crap. she had taken her diaper off and smeared it all over herself and the crib. it was so gross! I don't have the stomach for that (I gag at anything gross) so hubby had to clean her and the crib up for me. ewwwwww

I really don't have the stomach for it either, I gagged every time I had to change my daughter or anytime she puked.

Once they are completely potty trained and can go take a bath alone.....life gets much simpler.
