Default My cat investigates....

some new sleeping quarters...

One of the most useful small appliances I ever bought was a paper shredder where all my important/non-important papers are, of course, shredded. Once its used, all the paper strips are put in a garbage bag and recycled. Well, it's in my Computer room and since I had to take Kitty off my lap because she had her head on my left hand (difficult to type that way) I had to place her on the floor. So, being the little inquisitive pet that she is, she checked out the bag, pushed the sides aside, and made a bed out of the shredded paper....so cute and so darn funny!

Have I yet driven everyone insane with my cute, informative, and interesting stories of my very wonderful, wise and extremely intelligent cat?

My parents' half-persian kitty made a habit of sleeping in the sink in the kitchen.

Go ahead. You can't drive me insane with kitty-cuteness.

I love the fact that they can make a bed anywhere and sleep without a care!

My parents have young female kitty. She is about a year old. And completely insane. She is on patrol all day in the house. Checking all the rooms, again and again.

You are barely allowed to touch her, as she is not fond of that. Only when it suits her.

When you look at her, she has the strong urge to use the stairs, chairs and whatever she can find to put her head against it. (petting herself around her neck in a bizarre way).

She even used to growl, when eating food. She quit doing that, so she must feel a lot safer than at first.

How long have they had her?

Our cat loves to leap in the air once in a while, especially once she's attacked our slippers; loves to attack the belt on my robe for some reason...only when she's in the mood to play...I'll innocently walk by and she'll take a swat at me...then only when I'm busy like gardening today she wants to be held, I'm on the computer she wants to be held, but when I want to hold her, she won't have anything to do with me...go figure

About 10 months now.

We suspect she is very fond of playing with water too. I have used an image of her as my avatar on IG.

Totally forgot where I was, the phone rang...

oh yes, I was having a bath and the kitty happened to jump in...so funny the way she flew right out. She never tried it again...goes in the tub when there's no water, though...

Some kitties like water a lot though.

The little kitty I mentioned earlier also has a habit of wetting her paws with water and walking around in the kitchen. No clue on why she does that .

The kids really wanted to get another kitten to replace the cat that they had for so long. I'm just afraid the dog would terrorize the poor little thing and make her miserable. He just wants to play...but he's so big and mooselike.

That is a recipe for disaster, it seems. Unless the dog has experience with dealing with small furry creatures (cats or dogs come to mind) before.
