Site Blackouts

Dear valued guests and members,

Thanks to cb's power or motivation, I'm finally working toward moving this site (and the others within the network) to our new webserver. This new server is not only dedicated, but professionally monitored and is the same server that nukemods.com is running on.

The nice thing about this new server is that the owner of nukemods (cb) and I are the only two accounts on this dedicated server. This should translate to quicker load site times, improved site uptime and overall improved site performance.

I ask that everyone keep in mind that all sites may be affected either by the move or my general stupidity. I'm sad to report, the last outage had a lot more to do with the second option :-/

I will continue to update you all as we move forward.

You will notice that things have changed to the site such as quick reply is no longer installed. The reason for this (and the blackout in general) is because I re-installed an updated version of this sites software.

Of course I didn't really mean to do this but I guess that's what happens at 6 AM with no caffeine in the system.

Ah, I see. That explains why I had a hard time logging in, and the "show new post feature" does not work.

You can tell two things from these hourly stats.

1. How long the site was offline
2. How much sleep I got last night :?

The worst part is, it's a few hours more than I got the previous night lol.

Don't be suprised if the next time you try to logon, we're a bird migration site again.

Anyone remember that fiasco?

This should definately be the end of any site related issues except for the ones I cause by zigging instead of zagging.
