Anyone up for it on Saturday Feb 10?

It will likely be through MSN Messenger as I've still not secured proper chat software that I like.

Thoughts?

ok cool, ill be around in the morning until about noon CST then after about 7pm, so ill prolly be on in the beginning at maybe the end depending on how long it lasts.

I really can't see it lasting more than a few hours to be perfectly honest. If possible, I'd like to have all of us agree upon a 2 hour time window and if we stay in chat longer, great.

Duke I have the means to host a chat on IRC, with the channel linked to a web based java client so people would not have to use an IRC client. Although if you wanted to you still could, since I am sure you have the required knowledge to access an IRC server with a dedicated client. Everyone else can just use a web based java client. You would only have to choose a username, no sign ups needed. Although MSN is fine if you want to do that, but I leave the option there since it will enable people who do not have MSN to also join in the chat painlessly.

I have considered that idea but the problem is that I'm looking for a chat client that I can integrate into the websites as well so anyone from any network site can view who is in chat and in what channel.

As it is, many of the members on this site have MSN so thats pretty much the reason we use it. In fact, Windows comes bundled with Windows Messenger so pretty much anyone with XP can access the chat if they so desire.

I hope to start testing new chat software when we're finally located on the new server but that likely won't be until mid-spring, early summer unfortunately.

Can I request an afternoon timeframe? I don't know the time differences between us all but that would work best for me. I will be unavailable in the morning. Hope I get to chat with you all a little anyway.

I'm not sure if the "over the ponders" will be into this because it'll be early in the morning Sunday if I'm not mistaken.

Either way, I don't care when we have it as I'll likely idle on TS much of the day.

Don't worry too much about me. I have a tendency to insomnia at the moment. Anytime before 6 AM local time is fine (midnight EST).

Alright, well if Meanon could give us an idea how she feels about it, then maybe a 7 - 9 PM EST meeting may be in order.
