Would you want to date......
yourself?
What are the good qualities or bad qualities you feel you bring into a relationship?

good question and a hard one to answer! LOL!
I would most deffinately date myself if I were a man. I'm easy going, fun to be with, I have a good sense of humor, adventurous, caring, loving, understanding, trustworthy, respectful and compassionate.
the faults I have that wouldn't bee too great would be my short temper and moodiness once a month. That time of the month is not a good time to get on my nerves. LOL!

Physically- No way, my body is all wrong, my chest is flat and I have no butt and I don't like muscular women...I like 'em nice and soft and curvy.
Intellectually- Yes, I'm up for all kinds of literary or political or philosophical discussions, just don't ask me to discuss sports teams.
Spiritually- I'm very grounded, I have an unshakable faith in God.
Financially- I wouldn't date me...nuff said!
Good qualities - I'm honest, try to be funny, generous, kind, optimistic, persistant.
Bad qualities- I don't have time for games or lies and will shine on anyone who does. I will always pick my family ahead of you...unless we're married and then you are my family.

Would I date myself / female version of myself? No!
I have a few great qualities, and a lot of defects.
I have a great memory, am quite intelligent, like to read and write. Very easy-going, and quite humorous if I am interested to be that. I don't value money highly.
I am not great in company, and avoid company a bit, as I am quite fond of being alone. I am highly chaotic, somewhat unorganized.
Dating me would be complete disaster.

I'd probably get on my nerves and try to avoid myself.

Would I date myself... hummm depends.
I am loyal and easy to get along with, very affectionate, loving & confident. I am committed to making a "faimly" work but I have alot of bad qualities as well I am needy, jellous, I need constant attention both emotional and psychial and can sometimes be very spoiled and Bitchy but at the same time I try to "wear the pants" in my relationships
So if I we're a man I would "date" myself because I am fun and affectionate but I would never "commit" to myself because adventually the real me comes out and that is pretty scary... :evilin:

I wouldn't date myself and have always thought this way. I like who I am but I just can't see myself if I were a woman wanting to date who I am. Actually, if I were a woman I'd likely be a lesbian, men are too much trouble. :?

wow great thread! The simple answer is no. I mean, I am a good bf and I'm very loving/caring but as a woman it would take someone much more understanding/patient then I am to put up with me.

It's hard to answer only because if I really love someone....I would be a great choice. I'm totally loyal and loving. I'd gnaw off my arm for someone I consider family.
However, if it's just a casual dating situation..... I'm not worth a crap. I'm far too self serving for that. I can be on a date and if someone else shows up I'd rather be with....I'll leave with THEM....I don't care.
So I doubt I'd date myself.....but I would marry myself. Does that make any sense at all?

It makes sense, Merika. You are far too imperfect in your estimate to date, but you are loyal and loving enough to marry. For marriage certain imperfections don't play as large a role, as when you get to know someone.
