Nervous Problem

Since my roommate was not here over the weekend, Jen spent friday and Saturday night. We got close to having sex but did not. I told her I was concerned about birth control but she said she was on the pill.

I did not want to say I did not trust her but I still did not feel comfortable about trusting her especially because of my recent experience with Angela. I have not told anyone about this. She is confused about my behavior which she says is not "normal." I agree with her but cannot explain it.

Now she thinks I do not like her that much. She says that she will be leaving for her summer internship next weekend and this week will more than likely be our only chance to make love in the next 10 weeks.

What should I do?

In my opinion, you really should tell her you feel uncomfortable because of what happened in a past relationship, that you really do like her but that you need to take it slowly. If she's as great a girl as you say then I'm sure she'll understand!

whether or not she's on the pill is insignificant since that doesn't protect you nor her for STD. If you do decide to have sex with Jen, please use a condom for that extra protection.

If you're not ready to take that next step with jen then don't do it. Let her know that you're not ready to take it to that level just yet. She's going away for 10 weeks. You have sex with her now and you will miss her much more then you will if you refrain until her return. You need to do what's comfortable for you Rock. The final decision is yours to make.

Maybe she thinks if you have sex with her....you will be more prone to wait around for her until she gets back.

Jen and I had a great time saying "good by."

The timing for Andrea's trip home left the condo for us to be alone and it now feels like we used every moment of it. I'm sure that I have slept and eaten but cannot remember when or what. I do know that I called into work "sick" because I did not want to leave her and my boss did not sound convinced.

But now she is gone for the next 10 weeks and I will really miss her.
